Eight centuries after the Idaten gods sealed away the demons that once ravaged humanity, their descendants have grown soft, none more than the foul-mouthed young deity Hayato, who treats the old war as a bedtime story. When the seal starts to fail and demons return to the human world, Hayato and his untested fellow Idaten have to relearn how to fight, with no war stories of their own to draw on.
