When an operative of the Social Welfare Agency vanishes, the cyborg assassin Triela is sent to investigate. The trail leads straight into the rival Five Republics Front's stronghold, and into gunfire she isn't fully prepared for. This second season shifts focus from Henrietta to Triela, Claes, and Angelica as Special Operations Section 2 escalates its shadow war against Padania separatists.
