On a quiet beach, a weakened Wynaut stumbles up to Pikachu and its friends and begs for help: a gang of Team Rocket's Pokémon, led by Meowth, has taken over the local Pokémon's island playground. Pikachu, Eevee, and the others cross the water to train Wynaut's group, Pichu and Buizel among them, turning them into fighters who can throw the invaders' own attacks back at them and win their home back.
