Dr. Yung invites Ash, Brock, May, and Max to his remote laboratory to demonstrate the Mirage System, technology that recreates extinct and legendary Pokémon from digital data. The demonstration goes wrong when the system abducts Yung, and a masked figure calling himself the Mirage Master seizes control, vowing to build a Pokémon with no weaknesses using Mew's captured code. Ash and his friends have to get into the mansion and free both Yung and the trapped Pokémon before the Mirage Master succeeds.
