Synopsis
Human-headed balloons hunt down and hang their targets one by one in Hanging Balloons, the first of twenty Junji Ito short stories adapted here. Later episodes bring in recurring characters like the curse-happy Souichi Tsujii and the reality-warped Tooru Oshikiri, and revisit the immortal, endlessly regenerating Tomie.
