This second manga adaptation of the Kakuriyo light novels retells the same opening: Aoi Tsubaki is pulled into the Hidden Realm and told that her late grandfather pledged her as a bride to Oodanna, master of the Tenjin'ya inn, against a debt he left behind. Refusing the marriage, she sets out to work the debt off herself. Running in a different magazine from the earlier version, it follows the same beats with its own pacing and art: Aoi's ayakashi-baffling cooking, her uneasy welcome at Tenjin'ya, and the small eatery she opens in a corner of the inn.
