Synopsis
Rintaro Okabe has abandoned his mad-scientist persona after failing to save Kurisu Makise, resigning himself to the beta world line where she stays dead. Months later, he meets Maho Hiyajo and Alexis Leskinen, two neuroscientists who worked with Kurisu, and becomes a tester for their AI system Amadeus — built from Kurisu's digitized memories. As Okabe converses with an artificial echo of the person he couldn't save, outside forces begin targeting Amadeus, and the threat of a future war over time-travel technology closes in.
