Arato Endou and the artificial being Lacia descend into the underground facility that houses Higgins, the superintelligence that built her, to prove humans and hIEs can coexist without one destroying the other. Two other hIEs move against them: Snowdrop, who wants full autonomy, and Methode, who wants revenge. Meanwhile the AIs that govern the world debate whether Lacia herself must be erased. These four episodes close out the story begun in the Beatless TV series.
