Synopsis
Yoshika Miyafuji joins the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, the Strike Witches, after young women called witches prove to be humanity's only defense against the alien Neuroi invading Europe in 1939. Squadron leader Mio Sakamoto puts the new recruit through her paces alongside Perrine Clostermann, Lynette Bishop, and Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke as the Witches fly Striker Unit devices that channel their magic into aerial combat. This eight-minute OVA was the earliest animated version of the story, made as a promotional prototype ahead of the TV series.
