When the Dorssian military invades the neutral space colony of JIOR in T.C. 71, ordinary student Haruto Tokishima finds a mysterious mecha called Valvrave and pilots it to fight back, at a cost he doesn't yet understand. His classmates Saki Rukino and Shouko Sashinami get pulled into the fallout alongside him, while the enemy strategist L-elf Karlstein starts making moves of his own. This light novel adapts the events of the Valvrave the Liberator TV anime.
