Riki Naoe's circle of childhood friends widens as three characters who stayed on the sidelines of the main story step forward: Kanata Futaki, Sasami Sasasegawa, and Saya Tokido. Each gets a dedicated arc placed at a different point along the Little Busters! timeline, giving Kyousuke, Rin, Komari, and the rest of the group new company as the team keeps recruiting. These eight episodes run alongside the Refrain TV series rather than continuing directly from it.
