Aoba Seragaki runs a junk shop and lives a quiet life with his grandmother on Midorijima, an island reshaped by the Toue Konzern into the resort district Platinum Jail. His companion is Ren, an old AllMate robot dog he rebuilt himself. Aoba's routine breaks down once he's pulled into Rhyme, an underground virtual fighting game played through neural interfaces, and he ends up entangled with figures from the island's Old Residential District, among them his childhood friend Koujaku, who leads a street-fighting Rib team. This manga adapts the Nitro+CHiRAL visual novel.
