Eikichi Onizuka, a 22-year-old ex-gang member, talks his way into a teaching position at Holy Forest Academy and inherits Class 3-4 — a group that has broken every homeroom teacher before him through calculated psychological attacks. Armed with street instincts, brute stubbornness, and zero respect for conventional pedagogy, Onizuka digs into each student's crisis — bullying, family abuse, suicidal isolation — and confronts problems head-on, often with methods that horrify the faculty as much as they help.
