Private detective Zenji Banba works the edges of Hakata, a city where three percent of the population kills for a living and where his own second job is hunting other assassins under the name Niwaka Samurai. When Lin Xianming, a young cross-dressing hitman, takes a contract from the Kakyuu-kai syndicate to kill him, Banba's easy manner throws him off, and Lin soon learns that the same syndicate helped murder his younger sister.
