Ginko, a wandering Mushi Master, travels through rural Japan studying creatures called Mushi — primitive life forms invisible to most people that can mimic plants, diseases, and natural phenomena. Each journey brings him to a new village where Mushi have entangled themselves in someone's life, causing afflictions that range from strange to devastating. Ginko investigates each case with quiet expertise, balancing his duty to help the affected with his fascination for the Mushi themselves.
