Team Poképals, the fire-type Chimchar and the once-human, water-type Piplup, is pulled into a crisis bigger than any earlier mission: Temporal Tower is deteriorating, and the legendary Pokémon Dialga guarding it has lost control of its power and become Primal Dialga. If the collapse isn't stopped, time itself will freeze the world in place forever. Grovyle, the Pokémon blamed for stealing the region's Time Gears, joins the team once his real reason for taking them comes out, and the three set off to carry the gears to the tower.
