Shinra Kusakabe returns to Company 8 with renewed resolve after confronting his younger brother Shou in the Nether. His goals now extend beyond fighting Infernals: he wants to find a way to turn them back into humans, uncover the Evangelist's plans, and save his mother and brother. The Evangelist's White-Clad agents intensify their search for the eight Adolla Burst holders, and Shinra's pillar status makes him both a target and a key to understanding the Great Cataclysm that reshaped the world 250 years ago. This second season continues directly from the first.
