Synopsis
By 2039 rising seas have reshaped the world's coastlines, and the Fleet of Fog, an armada of sentient warships, has blockaded the oceans and cut off global trade and communication. Captain Gunzou Chihaya commands the I-401, a defected Fog submarine crewed by Iona and his Blue Steel unit, tasked with delivering a prototype weapon to the United States while trying to avoid an all-out war. This first Ars Nova film is a director's-cut retelling of the TV series' opening arc.
