In 2059 the colony fleet Macross Frontier is crossing the galaxy when galactic superstar Sheryl Nome arrives for a concert. Alto Saotome, a pilot-course high school student who walked away from his family's kabuki stage, meets aspiring singer Ranka Lee in the crowd, and then an alien swarm called the Vajra tears into the fleet mid-show. Thrown into a VF-25 to get Ranka out alive, Alto signs on with the private military contractor S.M.S. and finds himself caught between both singers. This manga adapts the Macross Frontier TV anime.
