Isshin Takatou has grown up alone on Nangai, a quiet rural island where nothing ever happens, with little to his name beyond his father's boat and compass. Their secret draws the Army's attention, and the three take to the sea together. This spinoff manga tells its own story in the Xam'd: Lost Memories world rather than adapting the anime.
