In the smash-hit MMORPG Union, a party of six childhood friends called Subaru became legends by clearing content well beyond the norm. Then one of them, Asahi, died of heart failure the moment her character was killed, and the game shut down for good. Six years later Union's successor, Re'Union, launches by invitation only, and former Subaru leader Haruto runs into Asahi inside it. Whether she's a digital ghost, a copy, or something else entirely becomes the question drawing the rest of Subaru back together.
