Synopsis
Amuro Ray stumbles onto the Federation's new Gundam when Principality of Zeon forces attack the civilian colony Side 7, the same opening as the TV series. From there the novel trilogy goes its own way, reworking plot details in a more adult register as the refugees and soldiers aboard the White Base fight to survive the One Year War with the rival ace Char Aznable hunting them. Published in three volumes, Awakening, Escalation and Confrontation, it is a prose retelling that departs from the anime's version of events.
