Synopsis
Tomoya Sugisaki hears about the Summer Ghost on an online forum: a legend that setting off fireworks at an abandoned airfield calls out a spirit who will answer whatever question weighs on you. He goes looking for her with two other believers, Aoi Harukawa and Ryou Kobayashi, each carrying their own trouble, Aoi's bullying at school and Ryou's terminal diagnosis. The ghost, a young woman named Ayane Satou, appears only to people close to death, and Tomoya keeps returning to her alone as the summer winds down. This novel expands the story of the Summer Ghost anime film.
