After Shin defeats him and takes Yuria, Kenshiro spends this film recovering from that loss, physically and otherwise. It plays out in the gap the manga never shows, between his defeat and the moment he reemerges as the man the world will come to call its savior. Captured by slavers during that missing year, he is pushed to decide what kind of fighter he means to become before his story properly begins. Kenshirou Den is the fifth and last of the Shin Kyuuseishu Densetsu films, and the only one staged as a prequel.
