Hana, a college student in Tokyo, falls in love with a man who can transform into a wolf and has two children with him: energetic daughter Yuki and quiet son Ame. After his sudden death, Hana moves the family to a rural farmhouse in the mountains, where she raises them alone while each child grapples with being half-wolf — Yuki trying to fit in at school and Ame drawn to the forest and its wild inhabitants.
