Chiya, a girl raised wild in the mountains, arrives in the ten-district city of Labyrinth Town to train as an urara, a fortune-teller whose readings guide the townspeople through hard decisions. Hoping her new post will help her track down her long-lost mother, she quickly falls in with three fellow trainees: bookish Kon Tatsumi, tarot-reading Koume Yukimi, and quiet Nono Natsume. Together the four work toward full urara status while learning the city's customs and rituals.
