Lydia Carlton works as a fairy doctor in Victorian Britain, one of the few people who can see and speak with fairies at all. On a voyage to visit her father she is seized by Edgar Ashenbert, a young man claiming the earldom of Ashenbert, who needs her sight to track down the legendary sword that would prove his claim. Edgar becomes her first real client, though Lydia is unconvinced by his story, especially once a wave of burglaries starts pointing his way. The manga adaptation is drawn from this original light novel series.
