Sakura Kinomoto has spent her first year of junior high in Tomoeda with Syaoran Li back at her side, capturing blank Clear Cards and trying to identify the masked figure behind them. That figure turned out to be her transfer-student friend Akiho Shinomoto, but Akiho's caretaker Kaito turned back time so nobody would remember. Sakura is left with a lingering sense that something happened, and neither the cards nor Kaito's plans are finished with her. This continuation picks up where the first Clear Card season stopped, following CLAMP's manga.
