Reiko Kujirai is a realtor in her thirties at Wong Loi Realty, an agency operating inside a fictionalized Kowloon Walled City where time seems to blur at the edges. She is quietly in love with her younger coworker Hajime Kudou. As their daily routines push them toward each other, details about Kowloon — and about Reiko herself — begin to accumulate into a pattern suggesting something in this city is fundamentally out of place.
