Otome Youkai Zakuro

おとめ妖怪ざくろ

As Japan adopts the Gregorian calendar in the Meiji era, the newly formed Ministry of Spirit Affairs pairs half-youkai girls with human army officers to smooth relations between the two communities. Fox-eared Zakuro is assigned to Second Lieutenant Kei Agemaki, who has spent his life hiding a paralyzing fear of the supernatural from everyone, including the general who is his father. Their prickly start becomes the manga's core as the paired teams take on cases across the youkai district.
