Ichirou Satou spent middle school performing as the self-styled hero Maryuin Kouga, and transferred schools to escape the ridicule that followed. At his new school a classmate named Ryoko corners him, cosplaying in a blue cape and insisting she is a researcher sent from another world, and Ichirou brushes her off to protect himself from reliving his old embarrassment. Watching her get bullied for the same kind of delusion changes his mind, and he finally stops running from his Maryuin Kouga past.
