舞-HiME スペシャル

Airing as short one-to-two-minute segments after each Mai-HiME television episode, these specials fill in backstory the main series leaves unexplained: expanding on protagonist Mai Tokiha, fellow Hime Natsuki Kuga, and the group's unseen adversaries. The tone swings between comedic and unexpectedly dark from one short to the next, and several lean into fanservice, but each pairs directly with the episode it follows.
