Sakamoto is the model high school student: impeccable grades, effortless athleticism, and a cool composure that draws admiration from every girl and envy from every boy. Bullies, jealous classmates, and even a local gang leader named Maruyama try to embarrass or outdo him, but Sakamoto deflects every scheme with absurdly elegant solutions. His classmate Kubota Yoshinobu, initially pressured into sabotaging him, becomes his closest friend instead.
