Haruka Oozora moves to Okinawa self-conscious about being unusually tall, and finds an unlikely partner in her cousin Kanata Higa, who gave up beach volleyball after deciding her own short stature was holding back her partner, Narumi Tooi. Haruka convinces Kanata to give the sport another shot, and the two form a beach volleyball pair aiming to compete on the tournament circuit, where Narumi now plays alongside Ayasa Tachibana. The manga follows their training on Okinawa's courts as they build the trust a two-person team needs to compete.
