Ash Ketchum arrives in Eindoak Town for its annual battle tournament and meets Victini, a Mythical Pokémon bound for centuries to a fortress called the Sword of the Vale. Damon, a descendant of the town's long-vanished Kingdom of the Vale, wants to restore his ancestors' land and has convinced the dragon Zekrom to help him seize the Sword's power, putting both Eindoak and Victini in danger. Ash turns to Reshiram, hoping its power can undo what Damon has set in motion.
