With the Demon King defeated and the hero Himmel long buried, the elven mage Frieren continues north toward Aureole, the resting place of souls, alongside her apprentice mage Fern and the warrior Stark. The route runs through new mage examinations, old battlefields, and the kind of small stops where Frieren measures human lives against her own slow, centuries-long sense of time. This second TV season picks up directly after the first season's mage examination arc.
