This twelve-volume light novel series follows Mayumi Dojima, a Yubiwa Academy middle schooler who has spent ten years chasing the memory of a single star she glimpsed once as a child. Her search draws her into the orbit of the Pretty Boy Detective Club: five striking boys, Sousaku Yubiwa, Manabu Soutouin, Michiru Fukuroi, Hyouta Ashikaga, and Nagahiro Sakiguchi, who solve problems around the school purely for their own sense of beauty, not for pay. The series is the source material for both a manga and an anime adaptation sharing the same title.
