Synopsis
Two years after Major Motoko Kusanagi left Section 9, Togusa now leads a larger, restructured version of the unit as they investigate a wave of interconnected incidents traced back to a hacker known only as the Puppet Master. This release is a stereoscopic 3D conversion of the 2006 Solid State Society film, with a newly animated opening sequence made specifically for the 3D format. The investigation itself carries over unchanged from the original film.
