Ren Mihashi transfers to Nishiura High School still haunted by his old middle-school team, whose players refused to work with him because they were sure his grandfather's ownership of the school was the only reason he was ace. At Nishiura he joins a brand-new baseball club and is paired with catcher Takaya Abe, who bluntly refuses to let Mihashi's talent go to waste.
