Chitose Karasuma has spent a year in the voice-acting industry without landing a real role, until her older brother and manager, Gojou, casts her in a starring part for an upcoming light novel adaptation. Getting the job turns out to be the easy part, because Chitose then has to navigate industry politics and rivalries with fellow cast members like Kazuha Shibasaki and Koto Katakura while the production runs into trouble behind the scenes. This light novel plays the anime industry's ambitions and compromises for both comedy and cynicism.
