Katsuhira Agata, a high school student in Sugomori City who can barely feel pain or emotion, is chosen by Noriko Sonozaki for an experiment called the Kizna System. The system links Katsuhira to six classmates as Kiznaivers — bonded so that any physical or emotional pain one feels is distributed equally among all seven. Forced together through missions designed to deepen their connection, the group confronts feelings they had each been avoiding long before the experiment began.
