Synopsis
Battlefield injuries ended Lieutenant Mizuki's career as a soldier and pushed her into an experimental procedure that remade her body, making her the prototype for the ultimate weapon program that later produced Chise. When Chise becomes the newest candidate, Mizuki writes her off as too fragile for the role, but the procedure links them telepathically, and they are the only two people alive who share it. Told from the military's side rather than Shuji and Chise's, this two-episode OVA runs alongside the events of the original Saikano TV series.
