She and Her Cat

彼女と彼女の猫

Chobi, a kitten Miyu rescues from a rainy alley, narrates her days from a cat's-eye view he only half understands. Miyu works to build an independent adult life on her own, and Chobi senses the loneliness she hides behind an easy smile without being able to name it himself. This manga expands Makoto Shinkai's original short film into a longer story of the pair's quiet daily routine.
