Ten years after giant insects began ravaging Edo, young swordsman Jinbei Tsukishima arrives in the city to take his crippled father's place in the Insect Magistrate Office, the government body raised to fight them back. Training and fighting alongside fellow magistrate recruits like Hibachi and Shungiku Koikawa, Jinbei starts learning what it costs to stand between ordinary Edo citizens and monsters the size of buildings.
