Three years after Asuka Ootorii and four other magical girls known as the Magical Five drove back the Disas, an invading race from another dimension, the peace they fought for starts to crack. Asuka is pulled back into combat alongside her old teammates, only to find that survival cost each of them more than the world ever knew. The manga follows the group's return to the battlefield in a starkly military, seinen-oriented take on the magical-girl genre.
