Middle-schooler Eruna Ichinomiya has no plan for high school beyond skipping class and playing games at home until her cousin Shigure hands her a pamphlet for Mikagura Private Academy. One glimpse of a girl named Seisa in the brochure convinces Eruna to enroll, and she finds a school with no ordinary classes, only culture clubs whose members settle rank and standing through power-based duels. The light novel follows Eruna as she's drawn into representing one of those clubs.
