Vandread

ヴァンドレッド

This manga adaptation of Vandread follows Hibiki, a third-class laborer from the all-male planet Taraak, taken prisoner when pirates from the rival all-female world Mejale raid the battleship he had sneaked aboard to steal a mech. Stuck among his supposed enemies on their ship, the Nirvana, he is thrown together with a pirate named Dita despite generations of hostility between their peoples, while an enemy fleet that raids colonies for human body parts closes in on both homeworlds. The manga runs far shorter than the anime and drops much of its supporting cast.
