Prince Bojji, born deaf and so small he can barely lift a sword, is mocked by his father's subjects as unfit to inherit the throne of the Bosse Kingdom. When King Bosse dies, the succession falls into dispute and Bojji's younger half-brother Daida claims the crown. Bojji sets out instead with Kage, a shadow-like survivor of a wiped-out assassin clan, determined to prove he can become the greatest king the ranking has ever seen.
