Hiro Hiyorimi dies pushing his sister's employer clear of falling steel beams, and that employer, monster princess Hime, revives him with her blood on the condition that he serve as her bodyguard. Hime's claim to the Monster Realm's throne draws assassins and rival heirs after her, so Hiro's job becomes dying in her defense and being revived again, over and over. Half-werewolf maid Riza Wildman and the vampire Reiri Kamura round out the household. This OVA retells the manga's opening chapters with tighter pacing and more of its original bloodshed than the earlier TV adaptation.
