Ever since a man known only as the Claw murdered his bride on their wedding day, Van has ridden across the planet Endless Illusion hunting him down, his shape-shifting sword linking him to a towering mecha called Dann of Thursday. He picks up Wendy Garret, who is searching for her kidnapped brother Michael, taken by the Claw's men, and the two travel together, Van's cold pursuit clashing against Wendy's instinct to stop and help anyone they meet along the way.
